35th Junior North & South Championship
Entry Application (Best if Opened in Internet Explorer or Adobe)
Entries are open to male and female golfers who are between the ages of 15 and 18. Contestants must not have reached their nineteenth birthday by July 9, 2013 or have started college.
54-holes of stroke play will determine the Champion. Play will be divided into two divisions (Boy's and Girl's) and contested on Pinehurst No.1, No.5, and No. 6. A full field will consist of 90 boys and 90 girls.
All entries, including returned invitations, must be received by the entry deadline of 5:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time on Tuesday, May 28, 2013. Submitted applications must be accompanied by entry fee. ABSOLUTELY NO LATE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED.
All completely executed applications must be received no later than 5:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time Tuesday, May 28, 2013. No entries will be accepted incomplete or after the deadline. The final field will be determined and confirmations or regrets sent to applicants via U.S. Mail. Submission of application does not in itself mean acceptance. Please make checks out to Pinehurst, LLC.
During the application process, applications received will be posted on the Championship website. Names posted at this location designate only applications received and do not guarantee acceptance. Those applications not accepted will be sent letters of regret. Application fees returned with letters of regret for those paying by check.
WITHDRAWALS AND REFUNDS
Any withdrawals after entries close up to and including July 2, 2013 will be issued a refund minus a $30 processing fee. Withdrawals after July 2, 2013 will not receive a refund except in cases of extenuating circumstances, which will be handled on a case-by-case basis. All refunds are at the discretion of the Championship Committee.
Entries are subject to rejection at any time, including during the Championship. The reason for rejection may include unbecoming conduct by contestants or parent/guardian.
Contestants invited to participate in the Championship must register on Monday, July 8, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time at the Championship Registration Desk located in the St. Andrews Room of the Resort Club. All contestants must register in person. Please make every effort to register prior to playing practice rounds. **Failure to register without notification to the Tournament Office may result in the player forfeiting their spot in the event.**
PRACTICE ROUNDS / RANGE USAGE
The official practice round for the Championship is Monday, July 8. For practice round starting times, please contact the Pinehurst Starting Tower at 1.800.795.4653 (choose option 6) on or after Wednesday, July 3, between 10:00 AM-11:00AM. Indicate you are a North & South contestant. Contestants may make one tee time at that time. Practice rounds are for contestants only. A limited number of additional practice round times may be available on each course, late afternoon, Sunday, July 7. Advance starting times will be available and can be made at the same time as the official practice rounds. (Practice rounds may be booked through the main golf shop after 11:00 AM each day starting July 4, by calling 910-235-8152)
Club storage is available and complimentary for all contestants during the Championship. All bags should be clearly tagged with the player's North & South bag tag (issued at registration).
There will be a North & South Contestant Dinner in Pinehurst Members Club on Monday, July 8, from 6:30 to 8:30 PM. ALL PLAYERS ARE EXPECTED TO ATTEND. Guests are welcome and you may purchase guest tickets at contestant registration. Please do not send money for guest tickets in advance.
CADDIES / CARTS
All contestants are required to carry their own bag for both practice and competitive rounds. Caddies are not permitted. Pull or push carts are also not permitted per club policy. Spectators may rent a golf cart for $34 per round based on availability.
