Championship Information

Entry Process 

All entries, including returned invitations, must be received by the Tournament Office staff by the entry deadline of 5:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time on Friday, June 4, 2010.  Entry fees must accompany submitted applications.  ABSOLUTELY NO LATE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED.

Format 

Six rounds of match play will determine the Champion. The defending Champion is exempt from qualifying and will take match play seed #1. The top 31-ranked accepted invites will also be exempt from qualifying. Those players exempt from qualifying will take match play seeds 2 through 32 based on their ranking within the Championship field.  The remaining thirty-two seeds will be determined through 18 holes of medal play on July 20, 2010 to complete the 64-player match play field. All play will be on Pinehurst No.2.

Championship Registration 

Championship registration will take place on Monday, July 19, from 9:00 AM-5:00 PM. Registration will be located in the Pinehurst Member's Clubhouse in the Fairway Room. Each contestant MUST register in person. Please make every attempt to register prior to playing practice rounds.

**Failure to register without notification to the tournament office will result in disqualification from the Championship.**

Practice Rounds and Range Usage 

The official practice round for the Championship is Monday, July 19, on Pinehurst No. 2.  For practice round starting times, please contact the Pinehurst Starting Tower at 910-295-3186 or 1-800-795-4653 (choose option 6) on or after Monday, July 14, after 10:00 AM.  Indicate you are a North & South contestant.  A limited number of additional practice times will be available on the afternoon of Sunday, July 18, and can be booked at the same time as official practice rounds.  Practice rounds are for contestants only.  Practice balls will be complimentary prior to and following practice rounds and Championship rounds beginning Sunday, July 18, 2010.

Private Housing 

Private Housing will be available to a limited number of contestants.  Priority will be given to exempt and invited contestants.  If space remains, additional housing requests will be accommodated on a first-come, first-served basis.  Private Housing is not guaranteed.

Following receipt of acceptance letter, all Private Housing requests should be submitted by email to PrivateHousingPinehurst@nc.rr.com 

Club Storage

Club storage is available and complimentary for all contestants during the Championship.

Players' Dinner

The players dinner is on Monday, July 19, at 7:00 PM in the Main Dining Room of the Pinehurst Member's Club.  ALL PLAYERS ARE EXPECTED TO ATTEND.  Guest are welcome, and may purchase guest  tickets at player registration.  Please do not send money in advance for guest tickets. Business attire (dress, skirt or slacks, no shorts) is requested for the player dinner.  Men should wear appropriate corresponding business attire (coat, no tie).
