Championship Information

ENTRY PROCESS
All entries, including returned invitation, must be received by the entry deadline of 5:00 PM Eastern Daylight time on Friday, June 5, 2009.  Submitted applications must be accompanied by entry fee.

FORMAT
Six rounds of match play will determine the Champion.   The top thirty ranked accepted invites and applicants will also be exempt into match play.  Those players exempt from qualifying will take match play seeds one through thirty based on their ranking.  The remaining thirty-four seeds will be determined through the 18-hole qualifier to complete the 64-player match play field.  All play will be on Pinehurst No. 2.

CHAMPIONSHIP REGISTRATION
Championship registration will take place on Monday, July 13, from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM.  Registration will be located at the Member's Club in the Fairway Room.  Each contestant MUST register in person.  No registration will be accepted by phone.  Please make every attempt to register prior to playing practice rounds.  Failure to register will result in disqualification from the Championship.

PRACTICE ROUNDS AND RANGE USAGE
The official practice round for the Championship is Monday, July 13, on Pinehurst No. 2.  For practice round starting times, please contact the Pinehurst Starting tower at 910-295-3186 or 1-800-795-4653 (choose option 6) on or after Wednesday, July 8, after 10:00 AM.  Indicate you are a North & South contestant.  A limited number of additional practice times will be available on the afternoon of Sunday, July 12, and can be booked at the same time as official practice round.  Practice rounds are for contestants only.  Practice balls will be complimentary prior to and following practice rounds and Championship rounds beginning Sunday, July 12.

PRIVATE HOUSING
Private Housing will be available to a limited number of contestants.  Priority will be given to exempt and invited contestants.  If space remains, additional housing requests will be accommodated on a first-come, first-served basis.  Private Housing requests should be submitted by email following the close of entries.  Private Housing is not guaranteed. DRESS CODE
Pinehurst Resort and the North & South Championship Committee require collared shirts be worn at all times during the Championship, including practice rounds, qualifying rounds and during match play.  Shorts are permissible for both contestant and caddie but must be Bermuda length.  Resort casual attire is required for the Contestant Dinner.

CLUB STORAGE
Club storage is available and complimentary for all contestants during the Championship.
