Friday, July 3

9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

July 4th at PinehurstKidsClub Our counselors aim to create a fun and interactive atmosphere for our KidsClub crew. From visiting the pool to storytelling, painting pottery to puppet theater, there’s always something for everyone! KidsClub is available for kids ages 3-12 who are potty trained. Please register with Resort Services at least 24 hours in advance. (R/$)

Fun in the Sun!Lake Pinehurst

Family Activity Center – North Room Features classic board games like Clue, Battleship and Monopoly. A Wii system and coloring area is also available. Parents, please plan to accompany your child.

2 – 2:30 p.m.

T-Shirt Tie Dyeing – Front Porch Create your one of a kind, wearable masterpiece! You will take your (mess free) dyed item with you with at-home care instructions. Cost: $10 per t-shirt (R/$)

3 – 3:45 p.m.

Cookie Decorating – Dogwood Room Join us and use your artistic talent with frosting, sprinkles, candy and more! Please register in advance at Resort Services as spaces are limited. (R)

5 – 5:30 p.m.

5 – 7 p.m.

Falconry with ChipStevens/Taylor Room You’ll get to see birds of prey like the peregrine falcon, red-tailed hawk, Harris hawk, owls and more during this interactive learning experience. Chip will share his knowledge of these unique birds and give you a chance to see them fly!

8 p.m. – 10 p.m.

Outdoor Family Movie – West Lawn Join us on the West Lawn under the stars to watch “Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day.” The family-friendly movie is rated PG.

Saturday, July 4

9:45 a.m.

4th of July Pet Parade – Village of Pinehurst The fun begins at Tufts Memorial Park in the Village Center with the patriotic pet competition. Pets can be registered in one of eight categories for judging including best dressed, most spots, and most talented. Registration begins at 8:30am with judging and prizes awarded at 9:30am.

10 a.m.

4th of July Parade – Village of Pinehurst The traditional 4th of July Parade follows the pet competition. Stick around after the parade for the Antique cars display, music, face painting, and the Sandhills Farmers Market with vendors offering fresh fruit, veggies and baked goods until noon.

10 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Moore County Concert Band – Grand Ballroom Listen to patriotic and classic music during this complimentary concert. Seats are available on a first come, first serve basis.

4th of July Celebration and Fireworks!Resort Clubhouse

  • Complimentary ice cream sundae buffet
  • Live music

You may walk to the Club (about 1/2 mile) or utilize the resort shuttle to attend the festivities located near the Donald Ross Grill. Fireworks start around 9:15pm and will last approximately 15 minutes.

Complimentary Tea and Cookies in the Carolina Lobby is available 7 Days a week from 4 – 5 p.m.

Lake Pinehurst

Enjoy swimming, white sand beach, horseshoes, cornhole, basketball, sand volleyball and more! Pontoon boats, stand up paddleboards, kayaks, canoes and fishing poles are also available for rent. The Snack Bar offers ice cream, cold sandwiches, hotdogs, beverages and beer or wine.

Getting there: The Resort Shuttle will take you to Lake Pinehurst. This shuttle operates on-call, at the top of the hour. There is also parking available should you choose to drive yourself. Resort Services can provide you with a map and directions – about 4 miles from the Carolina Hotel.

Health and Fitness

The Spa at Pinehurst Available seven days a week. You may process spa reservations by calling 1-800-487-4653. Also, ask about seasonal treatments! These services are only available for a limited time, so make sure to schedule your appointment to take advantage!

Run, Walk, Bike The Village of Pinehurst is ideal for walking, jogging or biking. You can literally lose yourself in the meandering streets and charming neighborhoods – so ask about trail maps at the Resort Services Desk! Explore miles of historic homes and scenic streets on one of our complementary bicycles, or take a leisurely walk through the Village.
