APPLICATION
ELIGIBILITY
Entries are open to male and female golfers who are between the ages of 15 and 17. Contestants must not have reached their eighteenth birthday by July 12, 2011, OR must be able to prove they are still a high school student.
CONDITIONS
Field: The field for the 33rd Junior North & South Championship will consist of approximately 130 juniors ages 15-17, competing in 54-holes of stroke play. One round each will be played on Pinehurst No. 4, No. 5, and No. 8. Play will be in Boys and Girls divisions. The boy's field will consist of approximately 90 players and the girl's field will be approximately 50 players.
Rules for Play: The Championship Rounds shall be played in accordance with the USGA Rules of Golf and the Local Rules as defined by the North & South Championship Committee. Unbecoming conduct by a player may result in disqualification.
Carts/Caddies: Players are required to walk. Carts, including pull carts, and Caddies are not permitted during Championship Rounds. Spectator carts are not allowed at this time, but will be clarified closer to Championship dates.
Dress Code: Pinehurst Resort and the North & South Championship Committee require collared shirts be worn at all times during the Championship, including practice rounds and Championship rounds. Shorts are permissible for contestants but must be Bermuda length.
ACCEPTANCE
All completely executed applications must be received no later than 5:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time Tuesday, May 31, 2011. No entries will be accepted incomplete or after the deadline. The final field will be determined and confirmations or regrets sent to applicants via U.S. Mail. Submission of application does not in itself mean acceptance. Please make checks out to Pinehurst, LLC.
During the application process, applications received will be posted on the Championship website. Names posted at this location designate only applications received and do not guarantee acceptance. Those applications not accepted will be sent letters of regret. Application fees returned with letters of regret for those paying by check.
WITHDRAWALS AND REFUNDS
Any withdrawals after entries close up to and including July 5, 2011 will be issued a refund minus a $30 processing fee. Withdrawals after July 5, 2011 will not receive a refund except in cases of extenuating circumstances, which will be handled on a case-by-case basis. All refunds are at the discretion of the Championship Committee.
Entries are subject to rejection at any time, including during the Championship. The reason for rejection may include unbecoming conduct by contestants or parent/guardian.
