The Spa at Pinehurst will celebrate its Sixth Annual “Pink in Pinehurst Day” on Oct. 20 with free spa services for breast cancer survivors.

Guests may also bring along a “Breast Friend,” and that person can receive a 50 percent discount on select spa services. To make a reservation, call (855)-235-8507.

“We’re honored to welcome these very special ladies and their friends,” Spa Director Jennifer Roche said. “We look forward to pampering our ‘Pink in Pinehurst’ guests every year, especially those who might not be able to splurge on a spa visit otherwise.”

Attendees receive gift bags and chances to win door prizes, all of which are donated by the Spa’s vendor-partners.

During the event, informational booths will be set up in the spa lobby by Hope Cottage, a local nonprofit, and First Health of the Carolinas.

The day concludes with a live music performance by “Sweet T,” featuring local cancer survivor Rebecca Lapping.

New this year is an interactive, commemorative sculpture that will be created by attendees writing encouraging messages on river rocks and then placing them in a locally thrown pottery vessel made just for the event.

“The sculpture is meant to represent the strength of these women,” Roche said. “Our plan is to keep it on display in the spa lobby year round.”
