- Pinehurst was founded in 1895 by Bostonian James Tufts. It is currently owned by the Dedman Family in Dallas, Texas.
- Pinehurst is currently comprised of 427 guest rooms throughout its 2,000-acre property, located within three hotels, 44 villa rooms and 30 condominiums. A new 1,600 sq. ft. Presidential Suite was added to the property in 2008.
- The resort includes eight (8) 18-hole golf courses designed by such legends as Ross, Jones, Fazio and Maples. This includes Pinehurst No. 2, our championship course that will host the 2014 U.S. Open.

- Pinehurst’s 24 tennis courts, two croquet lawns and one lawn bowling court have all held national or international championships in their respective sports.
- The 31,000-sq. ft. Spa at Pinehurst sits adjacent to the Carolina and includes over 25 individual treatment rooms offering over 50 services.
- The property contains over 60,000 sq. ft. of flexible indoor meeting space, from the intimate Wine Room seating 12 to the 14,000 sq. ft. Carolina Hall. We also provide acres of outdoor function space for weddings, parties, special events and gatherings.
