Two years after the Men's Championship began in 1900, the Women's Championship was born and now celebrates its 111th year. It has become one of the most sought after women's amateur titles and routinely displays the talents of players who are seen competing on the LPGA. Championship Venue
For over 100 years the North & South Amateur has been contested on the famed Pinehurst No. 2. In the traditions of the Championship, Pinehurst No. 2 will continue to be part of this Championship. For 2013 Pinehurst No.4 will host all stroke play rounds prior to playing all match play rounds on the historic No. 2 course.
