Entry Process
All entries, including returned invitations, must be received by the entry deadline of 5:00p.m. EDT on Friday, June 6, 2008.  For those applying for entry into the Championship Proper Rounds, the appropriate application must be completely executed and submitted by mail prior to the deadline.  Submitted applications must be accompanied by entry fee.

Format
Six rounds of match play will determine the Champion. The defending Champion is exempt from qualifying and assumes the 1st seed in match play. The remaining 63 match play seeds are determined by the 36-hole qualifier. Qualifying will take place on Pinehurst No. 2 and No. 8. The total number of players beginning qualifying will be no more than 156 contestants.

Championship Registration
Championship registration will take place on Sunday, July 13 from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Registration will be located at the Main Clubhouse in the St Andrews Room. Each contestant MUST register in person. No registration will be accepted by phone. Please make every attempt to register prior to playing practice rounds. Failure to register will result in disqualification from the Championship.

Practice Rounds and Range Usage
The official practice round for the Championship is Sunday, July 13 on either Pinehurst No. 2 or No. 8.  For practice round starting times, please contact the Pinehurst Starting Tower at 1-800-795-4653, option 6 on or after Tuesday, July 8 after 10:00 a.m.  Indicate you are a North & South contestant.  In addition to the official practice rounds, a limited number of additional practice times will be available on Saturday, July 12.  Contestants may make starting times for both days but are limited to one time per course.  Practice rounds are for contestants only.  Practice balls will be complimentary prior to and following practice rounds and Championship rounds beginning Sunday, July 1.

Private Housing
Private Housing will be available to a limited number of contestants.  Priority will be given to exempt and invited contestants.  If space remains, additional housing requests will be accommodated on a first-come, first-served basis.  Private Housing requests should be submitted by email following the close of entries.  Private Housing is not guaranteed.

Dress Code
Pinehurst Resort and the North & South Championship Committee require collared shirts be worn at all times during the Championship, including practice rounds, qualifying rounds and during match play.  Shorts are permissible for both contestant and caddie but must be Bermuda length.  Resort casual attire is required for the Contestant Dinner.

Club Storage
Club storage is available and complimentary for all contestants during the Championship.
