2008 Summer Family Schedule of Activities
FAMILY FAIRWAYS
Family Fairways offers family-friendly golf that both beginners and low handicappers will enjoy. This program is available Thursday-Sunday, starting with a 30-minute beginners/basics refresher clinic at 4:30 pm and family friendly golf/unlimited range usage after 5:00 pm on No. 8. Includes free rental clubs for the entire family (up to a family of four with two adults maximum and two kids 17 and under) for $130 per family. For those that wish for Family-Friendly golf only (no clinic), rates are $50 per adult (two max); kids 17 and under free, starting at 5:00 pm on No. 8 Advanced reservations are required, please call Social Sales at extension 58553 (or 910.235.8553) to make reservations.
PINEHURST BEACH CLUB
Boat, fish, swim and sunbathe on our 200-acre freshwater lake stocked with fish and just a shuttle away from the heart of Pinehurst. Rent sailboats, kayaks, pontoon boats and paddleboats for a day on the water. Rods and tackle are also available. Build sandcastles on the beach, enjoy lunch at the Beach Cabana or just relax in the sun. Showers, changing areas, chairs and towels are provided. PINEHURST HISTORY
Learn about Pinehurst’s rich history during our historic walking tours every Monday and Wednesday morning at 10am. Please sign up at Resort Services.
KIDSPA
Share the healthful benefits of the Spa experience with your kids with specially designed treatments just for them. A parent or guardian must accompany children for the duration of their visit. Children under 12 are not allowed to use the private lounge areas, wet areas, fitness room or pool. Pinehurst is committed to providing a safe environment for everyone. Therefore, persons age 17 and under who receive closed-door spa treatments must have a parent or an adult in the room for the duration of the service.
TENNIS CLUB
Our 24-court tennis center offers day or evening play for all ages and abilities. One-hour junior clinics are held Tuesdays and Thursdays for youth ages 5-15. Call the Pro Shop for the Junior Camp Summer schedule extension 58556.
BABYSITTING
Babysitting arrangements may be made through Tawnia Jones at extension 58783 or Resort Services at extension 58415. Cost is $20/hour for one or two children, $25/hour for three children and $30/hour for four children
Please note: there is a four-hour minimum per sitting period.
KIDS’ NIGHT OUT
“Dinner and a Movie” is available in the KidsClub on Saturday nights for children ages 6-12. Please make advance reservations through Resort Services, extension 58415. Cost is $35 per child
