Rich with tradition and history, competitive golf at Pinehurst has been conducted for over 100 years. You have the opportunity to be a part of this history through volunteering your time. We cordially invite you to help continue this exciting trend and support our championship traditions. Being involved has proven to be a rewarding, prideful experience for many.
** In order to show our gratitude for the time and effort of volunteers, we have created a new appreciation packet including, but not limited to, a USGA membership, subscription to Links magazine, and discounts at local area restaurants. In addition to the appreciation packet each volunteer will also be entered in a Grand Prize drawing that will be determined at the end of the summer. Individuals devoting their time to more than one event will be rewarded by having their name entered in the Grand Prize drawing for each event they volunteer. The Men's and Women's North & South Amateur Championships boast over 107 and 105 consecutive years of elite-level golf, respectively. This year marks the 108th playing of the Men's and the 106th playing of the Women's. Come be a part of this unbelievable experience as, this summer, we will crown the latest Champions in one of the world's longest running Amateur Championships.

The U.S. Kids Golf World Championship returns to the Pinehurst region for the third consecutive year. This year, the 8th Annual World Championship will play host to nearly 1300 kids, ages 12 and under, from all over the United States and the World. New to the area for this summer, the U.S. Kids Golf Teen World Championship, developed as a bridge for juniors between kid and collegiate golf, will bring nearly 400 competitors to Pinehurst, ages 13-18, to vie for the title in this year's Championship. With their international reach, the future of the game is certainly intertwined with these U.S. Kids Golf World Championships. Spend some time with these young future tour players and experience truly unique competitive golf.

For the third consecutive year, the LPGA will bring its Teaching and Club Professional (T&CP) Championship back to Pinehurst. Again taking place at the Centennial Pinehurst No. 8, the Championship will host 144 of the top T&CP players from throughout the United States. Since its inception in 1983, the T&CP Championship has grown to be recognized as the premier tournament for women teaching and club professionals in the world. Come be a part of this competition and give back to those that support the game across the country.

Volunteers Needed for the 1thth Annual Jimmy V Celebrity Golf Classic!
Marshals, Transportation and Standard Bearers Needed
Each year, the Jimmy V Celebrity Golf Classic, one of the nation’s premier celebrity golf events, strives to raise money to help find a cure for cancer and change the lives of those facing this terrible disease, but they cannot do it alone; they need your help. The 15th annual Jimmy V Celebrity Golf Classic is scheduled for August 10, 2008 at Pinehurst Resort and volunteers are needed in several key areas.

To register, visit www.golfclassic.org and fill out the online application. All volunteers must be at least 16 years old.
