Audrey Moriarty, Executive Director of Tufts Archives/Given Memorial Library, will present “Women of Pinehurst” during January’s Gathering at Given. From the strong Tufts women who helped establish the Village of Pinehurst to golf legends like Babe Didrikson Zaharias and Peggy Kirk Bell, Moriarty shares stories and photos of the amazing women who have impacted this area.
The first talk will take place at 3:30 p.m. at Given Library, 150 Cherokee Road. The second is set for 7 p.m. at the Given Outpost, 95 Cherokee Road. The Given Outpost is located in the old Pinehurst Post Office, which was beautifully restored to house a bookshop, event space and coffee shop.
Book sales and rental proceeds from the Given Outpost support the Given Memorial Library and Tufts Archives.
