5 can’t miss July 4th activities at Pinehurst

Fourth of July weekend kicks off Friday at Pinehurst with a full day of activities planned for the entire family. Celebrate with a trip to Lake Pinehurst for a little fun in the sun or enjoy the comfort of the indoors at the Family Activity Center.

Sandcastle competitions

Bring your imagination and get ready to build. Competitions get underway at noon Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Start brainstorming a unique design now!

Falconry with Chip

Join Chip in the Stevens/Taylor Room for a fascinating falconry session from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday. You’ll get to see birds of prey like the peregrine falcon, red-tailed hawk, Harris hawk, owls and more during this interactive learning experience. Chip will share his knowledge of these unique birds and give you a chance to see them fly!

Patriotic concert

Get in the spirit with patriotic tunes courtesy for the Moore County Concert Band. The complimentary concert starts at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Grand Ballroom. Seating is limited, so arrive early to nab a good spot!

Fireworks and more

July4thIceCreamJoin us at the main clubhouse for a festive evening that includes live music, face painting and a complimentary ice cream sundae bar. The fun gets underway at 7 p.m. Saturday. Stick around for the fireworks at 9:15 p.m.

Beach Blanket Bingo

Stop by Lake Pinehurst to play this classic game with a twist. Both children and adults will love playing this one. Play from 11 to 11:30 a.m. Sunday.
