Pinehurst is a special place for a lot of reasons, but it’s the people who leave a lasting impression.
We’re happy to report our guests feel the same way.
After their stay, we ask them to fill out a survey to let us know how we’re doing. Each week, Scott Brewton, senior vice president and general manager, passes along dozens of positive comments about our employees.
It’s been a great morale booster, so we thought we’d take it a step further and share some of our favorite comments here as a way to commend those employees who have gone above and beyond.

“James, front desk clerk. I saw James on a couple of occasions with several different guests and he was so friendly and went out of his way to be helpful. When I lost money in a vending machine, he offered to get me a Coke. He also helped my group with directions around the Village and I noticed him on a couple of other occasions helping other guests. He went above and beyond on every occasion!”
“I would like to commend Mrs. Laverne in housekeeping for her friendly personality and positive attitude. My wife and I felt that she went beyond expectations in taking care of us. It is obvious she is very appreciative of her job and she made us feel welcome. I would also like to commend Jim Barr and Stephanie for making sure everything went well during our stay.”
“Alberta at the reception desk. She made me feel like I had known her my entire life with her beautiful smile and awesome personality. I loved me some Alberta while I was at the Holly Inn. You have a flawless diamond in Alberta.”
“Megan in the Carolina Dining Room was delightful. Her suggestions regarding menu, and overall attention to our needs was exceptional. She, of course, had other guests to attend to, but our party of six was impressed with her relaxed but extremely memorable service. She is a keeper.”
