The Pinehurst Promise

General Information Regarding COVID-19

Pinehurst is dedicated to providing our guests a safe and enjoyable stay and we continue to diligently follow all of the guidelines put forth by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO) and the state of North Carolina.

Fully vaccinated persons are not required to wear masks or social distance indoors or outdoors in gatherings large or small. Additionally, all capacity restrictions and social distancing requirements have been lifted for restaurants, bars, and meeting spaces in hotels.

Per CDC guidance, in general, people are considered fully vaccinated:

  • 2 weeks after their second dose in a 2-dose series, such as the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, or
  • 2 weeks after a single-dose vaccine, such as Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine

Per CDC guidance, we strongly recommend that individuals who choose not to vaccinate should continue to wear masks and practice safe physical distancing while indoors and utilizing shuttles and trolleys.

Some modifications to our operational practices, protocols and recommendations are still in place around the Resort. Click here to read more. We hope you enjoy your stay at Pinehurst.

Golf

What type of rental clubs do you offer?

You may rent a set of the latest Titleist clubs for $80 per day. Call the main golf shop for information at (910) 235-8141.

We believe that caddies and forecaddies have the greatest impact on the golf experience. They help you with shot selection, read greens, provide local knowledge and lore, rake bunkers, clean golf balls, and generally make sure your Pinehurst golf experience is one you won’t forget. We highly encourage guests to utilize a caddie on Pinehurst No. 2 and No. 4. Many golfers enjoy forecaddies on other Pinehurst courses, allowing them to ride in a cart still enjoying the normal caddie services.

Caddie fees are paid upon registration at the golf shop. Rates are as follows:
Double Bag Caddie: $75 per player
Forecaddie: $35 per player
(We recommend a $50 gratuity per bag for walking caddies and $30 per bag for forecaddies.)

Please keep in mind that carts are restricted to paths on course No. 2 and No. 4. Carts are allowed to ride the fairways of all other courses.

Push carts are available at all courses. Push carts are available on a first come first serve basis at each golf course. We kindly ask to refrain from bringing personal push carts on property.

Pinehurst has partnered with Ship Sticks to offer our guests a seamless door-to-door shipping service both to and from the resort. 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday-Sunday (Hours may vary by season)

For your enhanced comfort and relaxation, we suggest arriving 30 minutes before your scheduled treatment. This will allow time to relax in our lounges, saunas and steam rooms. Arriving late will simply limit the time for your treatment, as your treatment will end on time so that the next guest will not be delayed. The full value of your treatment will be applied regardless of late arrivals.

To avoid being charged for scheduled service, you must give 24 hours’ notice. Please dial extension 58415 notify us of your change of plans. No-shows and late cancellations will be charged in full.

Please wear whatever is comfortable for you. Robes and slippers are provided upon arrival. During all treatments, the body is fully draped, except for the area being worked on. Lockers are available for your personal items.

This is your time, and you should delight in the experience to the fullest. Whether it’s the room temperature, the amount of massage pressure or the volume of the music, please share your preferences with us. We request that cell phones be turned off in the Spa.

Friday through Sunday, access to the spa is reserved for guests with a scheduled appointment (with the exception of nail services and Cryotherapy). Monday through Thursday, guests who do not have a treatment scheduled can inquire about purchasing a Tranquility Pass for $40. This all-day pass provides access to the wet areas of the Spa. Passes are sold the day of use and may be purchased at the Spa after 8 a.m.

Shaving is recommended but not necessary for men prior to a facial. If you do choose to shave prior to your facial, be sure to do so at least 8 hours prior to your appointment. Shaving is not recommended prior to any body treatments or hair removal services.

To achieve the utmost satisfaction and comfort from your service, we ask that you wait at least 8 hours before and after a body scrub or peel to wash, shave or use the sauna or steam room. In addition, we recommend that you limit your sun exposure before and after any facial.

Please notify our Spa Reservation department before booking your treatments if you have high blood pressure, allergies, any other physical ailments or disabilities, or if you are pregnant. If you have any concern at all, please let us know. If at any time during your services you experience discomfort, please let your Spa professional know immediately.

While there are a few services that should be avoided during pregnancy, there are many beneficial treatments that can be enjoyed, such as our Maternity Massage, which is available past the first-trimester. Please notify our Spa Reservation agents if you are pregnant when you make your appointments so that they can offer guidance.

The Spa welcomes guests 18 years of age and older. Minors may receive salon services provided they are accompanied by an adult. Resort guests must be 16 years old to use the Fitness Center.
