Featured Chef
Katie Button is the executive chef and co-owner of Cúrate Tapas Bar and Nightbell in Asheville. Named one of Food & wine’s Best New Chefs in 2015, Katie honed her craft in the kitchens of some of the world’s best chefs, most notably Ferran Adria and Jose Andres.
She recently released her first cookbook, “Cúrate: Authentic Spanish Food from an American Kitchen,” offering up recipes for home cooks that celebrate her love of Spain and Southern heritage.

Kick off the weekend with a Cúrate-inspired party featuring the vibrant flavors of Spanish food and wine.
We will be serving beer from Mother Earth and Southern Pines Brewing along with spirits from Doc Porter’s Distillery and Piedmont Distillers. Wine selection to be announced.

Q&A with Katie and cookbook signing
This is your chance ask Chef Button your burning questions and get insider’s tips and tricks for re-creating Spanish dishes and adapting them using American seasonal ingredients. The session will wrap up with a signing of her new cookbook “Cúrate: Authentic Spanish Food from an American Kitchen.” A copy of the book is included in your package.

7:30 p.m.
Chef’s Dinner with Katie Button
Join us for a delectable journey to Spain with Chef Katie Button. The multi-course menu will reflect Button’s cooking philosophy of weaving local and regional ingredients into Spanish recipes and techniques. By thoughtfully combining the two worlds she ends up with something extremely unique but firmly rooted in Spanish tradition.
