A Pinehurst experience is more than a round of golf.

While golf brings guests to the Resort, many of the memories they take home are also made around the table. Whether it’s a quick bite between rounds or an evening meal shared with family and friends, dining becomes another way to experience Pinehurst.

“We’re a bridge in between experiences,” says Eric Bandauski, assistant director of food and beverage.

Each restaurant is designed to offer guests a different experience. Here are just four of the incredible 11 varied dining experiences at Pinehurst that each tell a different story.

Whether on the veranda or inside the Deuce, it is one of the best spots to sit - and eat - at Pinehurst.

THE DEUCE

Overlooking the 18th green of Pinehurst No. 2, the Deuce has become more than a place to grab a meal. It’s where golfers unwind after a round and guests settle in to watch the final groups make their way up one of golf’s most iconic finishing holes.

The Deuce was designed to be casual and welcoming, creating a sports experience rather than a traditional sports bar. Guests can walk in straight from the course in golf attire, sandals or even a backwards hat and immediately feel at home. The Deuce offers a variety of comfort food in an atmosphere that encourages people to relax and stay awhile. Burgers, French Dip, Tacos and Tater Tots have become some of the guest favorites, while the veranda or a seat at the bar provide a front-row seat to the action on No. 2.

Whether guests are recounting the day’s round, catching a game on the TVs or simply enjoying the view, the experience at the Deuce often lasts well beyond the final putt.

PL8TE

Inspired by the flavors of the American Southeast, PL8TE, located in the clubhouse of Pinehurst No. 8, takes familiar Southern classics and presents them in a more elevated way.

As Pinehurst’s Southern table, the restaurant overlooking the 18th green and large clubhouse patio celebrates these flavors while giving guests a dining experience that feels distinct from the Resort’s other restaurants.

Favorites like Shrimp and Grits, the Golden Sauce Fried Chicken Sandwich and the Fried Green Tomato Grilled Cheese offer refined takes on Southern classics, while the Breakfast Biscuit Bar celebrates one of the area’s most recognizable staples. The menu changes about three times a year, allowing the culinary team to introduce seasonal dishes while keeping Southern cuisine at the center of every update.

WIREGRASS

Wiregrass tells the story of the Carolinas through its menu. As Pinehurst’s farm-to-table restaurant, every dish showcases the region’s farms, fisheries and producers. Rather than focusing on one style of cuisine, Wiregrass celebrates all the Carolinas have to offer.

“We wanted to showcase the bounty of the Carolinas,” Bandauski says of Pinehurst’s newest restaurant, which offers a blend of the new and traditional with its location inside Pinehurst’s historic clubhouse.

Most ingredients are sourced within about 250 miles of Pinehurst, from seafood caught in Wilmington and sweet potatoes grown in Sanford to cheeses produced in Asheville and Raleigh. Wiregrass is about celebrating the farmers who grow them, supporting the local community and giving guests a taste of the region’s agricultural heritage.

The menu evolves with the seasons and the availability of local ingredients. Summer figs, apples from western North Carolina and seafood from the Carolina coast are just a few examples of how the restaurant reflects the changing seasons. Every visit offers a different taste of the Carolinas, giving guests the opportunity to experience the region through its people, products and seasons.

STATION 21

Station 21 breaks from Pinehurst’s traditional dining concepts. Inspired by the Sandhills’ mining history, the restaurant blends Southwestern flavors with a setting that pays tribute to the area’s past.

Station 21 draws inspiration from across the Southwest, including Texas, Colorado, Mexico and Southern California.

That Southwestern influence comes to life through the menu. Smoked Beef Brisket Tacos, handcrafted nachos, breakfast burritos and chilaquiles showcase familiar Southwestern favorites. The atmosphere is relaxed, the flavors are bold and every detail reflects the adventurous spirit behind the concept of Station 21.

Dining is more than a meal at Pinehurst. Whether guests are heading to the course, unwinding after a spa treatment or returning from a day exploring the village, each restaurant serves as another chapter in their stay.
