Following her Tuesday practice round at the U.S. Women’s Open at Pine Needles, 10-time major champion and three-time U.S. Women’s Open champion Annika Sorenstam decided to add a little fun to her return to the Pinehurst area.
She brought the family to play The Cradle.
“We had heard so much about The Cradle that we wanted to play,” Sorenstam told us when she arrived at the starter’s house.
And so the family played, including Annika’s husband Mike McGee and their kids Ava and Will. “I’m going to caddie, ” Annika said, picking up Ava’s bag.
The family had a great loop. So good, in fact, that Ava and Will were back at The Cradle on Wednesday morning.
