The Ethics of Information (and Misinformation) 3 CEU (live)
This course explores the different types of information that is passed on to clients. Therapists will learn what information is correct, incorrect, incomplete or undecided. We will also discuss the dangers of misinformation and learn to question long held and often incorrect beliefs that may have been taught by well meaningful teachers, therapist and mentors. Additionally, therapists will learn how to disseminate the different types of information and how to frame this information using correct context, comprehension and articulation. Having proper awareness and understanding will help therapists remain professional and ethical while teaching their clients and the general population the correct application and benefits of Massage.

Progressive Stretching and Movement Therapy: Stretching Techniques for your Client’s Well-being 6 CEU (live)
In this hands-on course, therapists will learn the best stretching techniques for the right situation. Additionally, they will become familiar with different stretching methods and how and when they should be applied. Therapists will learn passive and active stretching techniques, active isolated stretches, Dynamic Movement Therapy, PNF and ballistic stretching techniques. Their R.O.M. and movement within their own bodies will be explored and they will come to appreciate motion and its benefits to an overall healthy, active life. As Einstein said, “Nothing happens until something moves.”

Hips Don’t Lie: Effective Deep Tissue Techniques for the Hips 6 CEU (live)
Therapists will learn the importance of the hip health and easy effective deep tissue techniques for the hips in this course. As well as develop a better understanding of the hip joint and muscles and the part they play in the structure of the body. This will enable therapists to productively communicate to their clients about the importance of hip work and provide clients with valuable and comfortable deep tissue techniques. Additionally, therapists will be able to provide different body positioning for effective hip work, learn the Minimum Effective Dose to treating the hip, learn common injuries and conditions of the hip as well as stretches and homework for their clients.
