Want to know how to choose the best buddy golf trip? Form a foursome of friends, or bring even more, and head to Pinehurst for an incredible golfers getaway. From teeing it up on Pinehurst No. 2 and the rest of our amazing courses to hitting Pinehurst Brewing Company for a round or two to dining on outstanding meals cooked up by our Executive Chef and his crew in kitchens across the property, it’s sure to be a weekend you’ll never forget.

DAY 1

FIRST:
Warm-up with Pinehurst No. 1.

Go back to where it all began: course No. 1. With an authentic Donald Ross design and ample birdie opportunities, it’s a great way to start your Pinehurst trip.

NEXT:
Visit Pinehurst Brewing Co. for smoked BBQ + beer on tap.

Housed in the Village’s historic steamplant building is Pinehurst’s brewery, which features craft beer brewed on site along with classic North Carolina barbecue and brisket, pizza and more.

THEN:
Have a night cap at the North & South Bar at the Manor.

The North & South bar at The Manor features nearly 70 styles of bourbons, whiskeys, ryes and Scotch. Traditional Manhattans and sours are on the menu, but so are new-age stylings on the classics. There’s literally nothing like it anywhere near Pinehurst.

FIRST:
Take on one of Pinehurst’s championship courses, No. 2 or No. 4.

No. 2 is the home of the 2024 U.S. Open, and a timeless classic where the game’s greats have played. Gil Hanse’s No. 4 has garnered accolades since its stunning redesign. Take your best shot. Pro Tip: With tee times in high demand, stay and play Sunday – Wednesday for greater availability.

NEXT:
Enjoy a drink at The Deuce – the best “19th hole” in golf.

Overlooking the 18th green of Pinehurst No. 2, The Deuce’s open-air windows allow the soundtrack of groups finishing their rounds to complement the local beers, cocktails and delicious pub fare.

THEN:
Have a go at The Cradle, called “The most fun 10 acres in golf”.

You only need a couple of wedges and a putter to play Gil Hanse’s signature short course. Kick off your shoes, take in the music and enjoy. Pro-tip: Stop by the Cradle Crossing for a Transfusion.

FIRST:
Complete your weekend with a final round on one of 9 world-class courses.

There are 162 holes you can play at Pinehurst. The only question is, which 18 will it be? Explore our courses and finish with a memorable round on legendary greens. Pro-Tip: Before you head out, be sure to enjoy the overflowing breakfast buffet that’s been called “The Best Breakfast in Golf!”

NEXT:
Challenge your short game at Thistle Dhu.

Take a spin on Thistle Dhu, Pinehurst’s 18-hole putting course that meanders over 75,000 square feet – and around the famed Putter Boy statue. There are even scorecards to keep the competition light and fun.

THEN:
Snap a photo with a champion.

A few yards from where he became the 1999 U.S. Open Champion, Payne Stewart’s statue serves as a tribute to his spirit. A trip to Pinehurst isn’t complete without an attempt to recreate his epic fist-pump stance.

In the car or the shuttle to the airport, pull out your phone and begin checking on 2024 availability. After all, a lot happens here in 2024, and not just the return of the U.S. Open.
